Lombard Odier appoints Asia CIO
Lombard Odier has appointed Jean-Louis Nakamura as chief investment officer (CIO) for the Asia-Pacific region.
Nakamura was previously deputy CIO for Lombard Odier Investment Managers, the bank’s institutional asset management arm.
Reporting to Vincent Duhamel, head of Lombard Odier for Asia Pacific, Nakamura will work on strengthening the firm’s investment capabilities in the region, in order to deliver risk-based investment strategies for clients.
“We are always responding to the evolving needs of our clients and fine-tuning our offering with dedicated and highly experienced individuals,” said Duhamel. “Jean-Louis (Nakamura) brings a wealth of investment experience and has, over the last four years, pioneered Lombard Odier’s risk-based expertise which concentrates on helping clients to achieve their long-term investment goals while minimizing drawdowns.”
Lombard Odier has had a presence in Asia for more than 25 years with offices in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore, and has more than doubled its presence in the region over the last two years.
The bank has formed partnerships with JBWere in Australia and KB Kookmin Bank in South Korea.
