CenterSquare Investment Management, an investment boutique of BNY Mellon, has hired Scott Crowe to the new role of chief investment strategist.

In his new position, Crowe will focus on the listed real estate and infrastructure businesses. His duties encompass the identification and development of new investment strategies to develop real asset investment solutions.

Crowe reports directly to Todd Briddell, CenterSquare’s CEO and chief investment officer and he will work with Bridell to assist with investment risk and oversight, as well as working to enhance CenterSquare’s research and investment processes.

“Scott has demonstrated valuable insight and a deep understanding of the real asset offering,” Briddell said.

“This industry demands early market trend identification amid an increasingly complex and competitive environment, and as the demand for real assets across investor types and strategies increases, we are excited to respond with better and more dynamic solutions."

“Deepening our senior management talent with Scott Crowe’s experience will only further our ability to generate alpha and be a strong fiduciary to our clients.”

Crowe will also work directly with CenterSquare’s clients, providing education and guidance on the market and helping them execute their investment goals.

Crowe was previously global head of real estate for UBS equities research from 2000 to 2007. He also served as a global portfolio manager for Cohen & Steers from 2007 to 2012. Most recently he was a managing director and chief investment officer of liquid alternatives at Resource Real Estate.
