Waddington takes State Street sec finance role
Simon Waddington has been appointed as head of business development for State Street’s agency lending business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Waddington, who previously ran securities finance trading across EMEA for RBC, is thought to have joined the US financial group at the start of February and is based in London.
He left RBC in November last year after three years with the Canadian group, where he led the trading desk in London with responsibility for maximising revenue on equities and fixed income.
Overall, Waddington has 16 years' experience in the securities finance industry and a skill set that includes trading equities and fixed income, new client sales, relationship management, and product development.
